While walking through the desert landscape along the Arizona and Utah border, I came across this old relic resting in this timeless landscape amongst the majestic and iconic buttes and mesas found in Monument Valley.  Clearly, this old “auto-ghost” had ended its long journey in this spot many years before. It seemed to be a beautiful and haunting “monument” left behind … a reminder of a sense of wanderlust and romance associated with riding the “Open Road” – which, in many ways, defined the material culture and social landscape of 20th Century America.
